Is there anything fashion- or design-related that the French haven’t gotten right? From chic casual outfits to ornate home decor, it is safe to say that the French have the upper-hand when it comes to style.
Grey and I don’t have any kiddos of our own yet, but if we have a girl, that nursery is going to be French-inspired for sure. I have tons of pictures on Pinterest saved to my Kids’ Spaces board (I know you have one, too, if you are a twenty-something female) that are neutral, textural, and FRENCH-ish. 😉
When designing nurseries, there are two things that I always remember. One is to not feel limited to only purchasing baby furniture — for instance, a changing table can be a dresser or a deep bookshelf. And two, more modern, colorful artwork in a nursery gives a more grown-up feel than your typical clowns and fairies might. Those are just two easy guidelines I I like to follow when decorating these fun spaces.
But now, let’s look at the inspiration!
I’ve liked this one for a while now and I always seem to come back to it. I would add a little bit of color with some artwork, though. 🙂

I love the monogrammed valance window treatments. And the oversized stuffed animals! (My in-law’s have a nursery for my nephew in their home and they have that same huge giraffe. So cute!)

How great is that mirror?
Omg. I basically need to have twins now.
And this is where I stop with the pictures, because it literally doesn’t get any better than this.
