When I was little, nothing made me happier than a poofy skirt that I could twirl in. Twirling was basically my favorite thing, and I was known to wear the skirt from my Belle Halloween costume (that my mother made for me, no less) to the grocery store on a fairly regular basis. And so, since fashion really is something mainstream, while style is something that each of us own, I personally am constantly drawn to the look of tulle skirts mixed with something more basic…more ordinary. There’s nothing like that balance, and there’s different ways that this can look — some more Parisian and chic; others leaning more toward an edgy and funky attitude. I love the versatility, and while I can’t say I own a tulle skirt at this point in my life, these images do inspire me, my sense of style, and the way I look at the clothes I do already own.
