I received another Birchbox in the mail and this one was pretty good, just like the last one. I ended my subscription last time partially because I wasn’t happy with the samples that I was receiving but I have had two of these boxes delivered to me now and they both did not disappoint!
Starting this post off with a winner… I LOVE this stuff. For styling spray, I usually use this one from Target, but I switched it up to the amika spray when I received it. This is definitely a product that I will be purchasing once my sample runs out. It gives my hair so much volume and my hair is shiny when I am finished heat styling it. Great stuff.
First impression of this product is that it is pretty smelly. But it is a toner after all, and an algae toner at that (whatever that means!) so I suppose that is to be expected. I will say that I have been using it occasionally at night prior to moisturizing and I do like the way that it evens out my skin.
I really like the concept of these because of the coconut oil, but ultimate makeup remover wipes these are not. They definitely don’t take off all of your makeup, and I used one wipe prior to washing my face, and then used my micellar water on a cotton swab to make sure that the makeup was gone, and there was still a bunch on my face. Kind of disappointing because the idea of using a coconut oil product as a makeup remover really excited me!
I always love a fun lip color — especially for Spring and Summer. I received Pink Thrills and it is a really bright, almost hot pink that is really cute. I have been toning it down with a bit of a neutral gloss over the top when I wear it because it is just slightly too bright for my comfort zone. It’s a soft lipstick, though, and it goes on really nicely. It definitely doesn’t feel like your typical drugstore lipstick.
This spray was the only flop in the Box. It did nothing for my hair at all! Usually these texturizing sprays don’t do much for me, though. Not a lot to say about it… it fell pretty flat.
